Michael Edwards named new Head Coach of the Bellaire High School Boys Soccer program

Bellaire High School has named Michael Edwards as the new Head Coach for the Men’s Varsity team, overseeing all of the school’s boys soccer program. Edwards spent the 2021-2022 season as an assistant varsity coach and head coach of the freshman team.

Edwards teaches world history and has a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in education, both from Baylor University. He’s played soccer for most of his life and is extremely passionate about the sport.

Before getting his master’s in education and coming to Bellaire, Edwards lived in Washington, D.C. and worked as a legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives for five years.

Coach Edwards was born in Houston and has deep connections to this city.
