Sam Houston’s go-ahead goal with less than one minute left in regulation gave Bellaire Varsity a tough 4-3 loss at Butler Stadium. Before the winning goal, Bellaire senior Shaked Masti had evened the game with a beautiful chip shot with just more than one minute left in the match. Juniors Angel Rubi and Ron Masti also had goals for the Cardinals.
Despite the loss, eight Cardinals celebrated Senior Night with their families before the game. Bellaire Varsity is now 7-3 in District 18-6A play with two games remaining in the regular season.
