Bellaire Varsity begins 2022 season winning two of three matches in the Cy-Fair ISD Showcase

The Bellaire High School Varsity men’s soccer team started the season with a 2-1 record in the Cy-Fair ISD Showcase.

The Cardinals’ season began with a tough 2-0 loss to Cy-Springs at CFCCU Stadium on January 6. The Panthers scored late in the first half and then early in the second half to take the lead. Bellaire played a strong possession game in the second half, but could not get any goals to fall.

The Cardinals bounced back under the Friday night lights on January 7 at Pridegeon Stadium with an exciting 1-0 victory over Cy-Fair. Junior Carter Sasser scored late in the second half on a corner kick header from senior Tristan Morales.

Bellaire finished the Cy-Fair ISD Showcase with a strong 2-1 win against Cy-Lakes in a morning match Saturday January 8 at Pridgeon. Junior Gabe Garcia-Fayos scored in the first half on an assist from junior Quinten Latchett. In the second half, senior Tristan Morales added a goal on a nice header assist from junior Kian Lau.
