Bellaire names Michael Edwards as Varsity Assistant Coach

The Bellaire Men’s Soccer Program would like to welcome Michael Edwards as the new Varsity Assistant Coach!  A native of the Houston area, Coach Edwards grew up in Waco and attended Baylor University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in History. In 2020, Michael returned to Waco and Baylor to get his Master’s of Arts in Teaching, with which he graduated in May 2021. Prior to graduating with his Master’s, Michael spent the Spring 2021 semester interning at University High School in Waco and working with the varsity and JV boys soccer teams.
Michael is an avid soccer fan and played the sport for most of his life. His favorite club is Tottenham Hotspur. In addition to coaching soccer, Michael will be teaching World History at Bellaire High School. He is thrilled to join the Cardinals and looks forward to working with Coach Rodgers, Coach Thomas, and all of the players.
